Characteristics and Type of Beach

The formation of the Cala Coticcio Beach is characterized by the dense vegetation behind it, located in a relatively inaccessible area, it reminds us of an unspoiled small cove, the distance and isolation make it suitable for the adventurous.

With a length of 16 meters and an average width of approximately 5 meters, it has a surface area of 80 square meters and can accommodate a maximum of 10 people comfortably.

The Beach is composed of Very fine sand sand of White sand color, with vegetation behind it, mainly characterized by Mediterranean scrub.

The Sea

Seabed Sandy bottom

The sea has a Turquoise color, with a predominantly sandy seabed.

The bathymetric lines are far apart, so the depth gradually decreases, classifying it as a beach with shallow water.

The Cala Coticcio Beach is open access, without a specific limit defined by law. The maximum capacity of 10 people is purely indicative and is determined using the guidelines of beach resorts, assuming approximately 8 square meters per person, taking into account beach chairs or towels, umbrellas, and a perimeter passage area.

It should also be noted that on all Sardinian coasts, Article 40 of Regional Law No. 16 of July 28, 2017, paragraph 2, states: Except where the act constitutes a more serious offense, anyone who removes, possesses, sells even small quantities of sand, pebbles, stones, or shells from the coast or the sea without proper authorization or concession issued by the competent authorities is subject to an administrative fine of 500 to 3,000 euros.

By Sea

You can also reach the beach by sea using small boats, either private or rented, utilizing the dedicated launching corridor on the beach. Furthermore, it should be noted that the launching corridor is generally intended for transit purposes for unloading/loading. The boat should be anchored according to the instructions of the beach staff. In the absence of a launching corridor, the boat should be moored at a certain distance from the coast. it Merita la sua fama. Bello il percorso per scendere. A tratti non facile soprattutto a salire. La consiglio fuori stagione, nel silenzio assoluto contemplando i numerosi scorci, la brezza e il mare azzurro e trasparente. A luglio-agosto c'è troppo via vai e casini di gestione con le guide e si perde la magia. Spero che nel 2022 venga gestita meglio a dei prezzi ragionevoli. 25euro a persona per scendere fare 2 foto e salire mi sembra troppo.

it Una della caletta più belle viste in Sardegna. Percorso per raggiungerla facile e piacevole, soprattutto se fatto assieme ad una guida come Stefania. Attenzione che la guida per andare giù, non è opzionale ma obbligatoria. Così si impara anche di più sulla protezione di questo magnifico territorio!

it Volevamo raggiungere la spiaggia ,ma Siamo stati fermati dalla signora all INFO POINT che ci ha informati dell obbligo della guida.(?) La recensione negativa va proprio alla su citata signora ,di una arroganza e una antipatia uniche! La spiaggia sarà sicuramente uno spettacolo della natura, ma ci è stata negata bruscamente da questa persona ineducata e probabilmente razzista nei confronti dei napoletani

it Cala Coticcio è un luogo meraviglioso e suggestivo, visitabile con una guida autorizzata al costo di € 25 a persona. La tariffa è sicuramente alta, direi che € 15 sarebbero state più che sufficienti. Purtroppo, il posto non è preservato come si dovrebbe. Decine di barche troppo vicine alla riva e i cui passeggeri raggiungono la spiaggia, sostandovi quando non potrebbero. La nostra guida, Eleonora, ha passato tutto il tempo a invitare la gente ad andare via che ovviamente non ci ha pensato nemmeno ad allontanarsi. I proprietari delle barche hanno le loro colpe ma le boe oltre le quali non è possibile andare, non le hanno messe loro e sono veramente troppo vicine. Inoltre, non c'è un presidio fisso come alla spiaggia rosa, magari si potrebbe tranquillamente finanziare con i € 25 a persona chiesti per la visita. Come si può pensare che la gente rispetti le regole senza che ci sia nessuno ad intimarglielo? È una pretesa assurda.

it Meravigliosa. Meritato premio dopo il percorso a piedi (30 minuti) tra le rocce e la collina. Attenzione alla nuova strana regola, posta su un foglio scritto a penna all'inizio del cammino, di essere accompagnati da una fantomatica "guida".
