Characteristics and Type of Beach

The formation of the Cala d'Arena Beach is characterized by the dense vegetation behind it, located in a relatively inaccessible area, it reminds us of an unspoiled small cove, the distance and isolation make it suitable for the adventurous.

With a length of 176 meters and an average width of approximately 25 meters, it has a surface area of 4400 square meters , however, due to the presence of integral protection, it cannot accommodate people.

The Sand

The Beach is composed of Very fine sand sand of White sand color, with vegetation behind it, mainly characterized by Mediterranean scrub.

The Sea

Seabed Sandy bottom

The sea has a Turquoise color, with a predominantly sandy seabed.

The bathymetric lines are far apart, so the depth gradually decreases, classifying it as a beach with shallow water.

Restrictions and Protection

No Sand Collection

The Cala d'Arena Beach is under integral protection, and access is strictly prohibited, with heavy administrative penalties.

It should also be noted that on all Sardinian coasts, Article 40 of Regional Law No. 16 of July 28, 2017, paragraph 2, states: Except where the act constitutes a more serious offense, anyone who removes, possesses, sells even small quantities of sand, pebbles, stones, or shells from the coast or the sea without proper authorization or concession issued by the competent authorities is subject to an administrative fine of 500 to 3,000 euros.

it L'isola è bellissima. Abbiamo fatto giro con guida con 4x4 e poi sempre accompagnati abbiamo proseguito a piedi facendo nordic walking. Abbiamo incontrato asinelli, caprette, cavalli liberi di gironzolare. Sono loro i residenti! Non gli umani?! Completamente immersi nella natura incontaminata. Sulla spiaggia si intravedeva un cinghiale.

it La più bella spiaggia dell'isola, incontaminata. Non accessibile. Peccato, ma limitiamoci ad ammirarla da lontano, affinchè possa rimanere tale a lungo. Meravigliosa la macchia mediterranea circostante, come pure le scogliere.
