The formation of the Cala Sant'Andrea Beach, it reminds us of a relatively large cove, the distance and isolation make it suitable for the adventurous.

With a length of 365 meters and an average width of approximately 20 meters, it has a surface area of 7300 square meters , however, due to the presence of integral protection, it cannot accommodate people.

it La Cala di Sant'Andrea, nel Parco Nazionale dell'Asinara, è una insenatura costiera nella parte sud-est dell' isola, caratterizzata da emergenze rocciose granitiche e da una meravigliosa spiaggia di sabbia bianca con i cristallini colori azzurri e turchesi del mare. Per la sua eccezionale bellezza e interesse naturalistico-ambientale è una Zona A del parco, ove non è consentito l'accesso neanche a piedi, se non per le operazioni strettamente legate alla gestione del Parco. La si può ammirare seguendo il cosidetto "sentiero del granito", che partendo da Fornelli corre pressoché parallelo alla linea di costa della parte sud orientale dell'isola, e lambisce la Zona A di Cala Sant'Andrea, che comprende anche uno stagno retrodunale di acqua salmastra, ove è possibile osservare una ricca avifauna. Nel percorso fra le formazioni granitiche del paleozoico cresce una vegetazione caratteristica con belli esemplari di ginepro ed un esuberante macchia dominata dalle euforbie arboree e da numerosi endemismi costieri.
