Characteristics and Type of Beach

The formation of the Punta Don Diego Beach, it reminds us of a relatively large cove, with its size and shallow water, it is suitable for families with children.

With a length of 230 meters and an average width of approximately 12 meters, it has a surface area of 2760 square meters and can accommodate a maximum of 345 people comfortably.

The Sand

The Beach is composed of Fine sand sand of Yellow sand color, with vegetation behind it, mainly characterized by Mediterranean scrub.

The sea has a Green color, with a mixed seabed of sand and rocks.

The bathymetric lines are far apart, so the depth gradually decreases, classifying it as a beach with shallow water.

The Punta Don Diego Beach is open access, without a specific limit defined by law. The maximum capacity of 345 people is purely indicative and is determined using the guidelines of beach resorts, assuming approximately 8 square meters per person, taking into account beach chairs or towels, umbrellas, and a perimeter passage area.

It should also be noted that on all Sardinian coasts, Article 40 of Regional Law No. 16 of July 28, 2017, paragraph 2, states: Except where the act constitutes a more serious offense, anyone who removes, possesses, sells even small quantities of sand, pebbles, stones, or shells from the coast or the sea without proper authorization or concession issued by the competent authorities is subject to an administrative fine of 500 to 3,000 euros.

How to Get to Punta Don Diego Beach

Private Vehicles

You can reach the beach by private vehicle, using the road that leads to the parking area near the beach.

By Sea

You can also reach the beach by sea using small boats, either private or rented, utilizing the dedicated launching corridor on the beach. Furthermore, it should be noted that the launching corridor is generally intended for transit purposes for unloading/loading. The boat should be anchored according to the instructions of the beach staff. In the absence of a launching corridor, the boat should be moored at a certain distance from the coast. For more information, we recommend contacting the tourist information center at the municipality of Loiri Porto San Paolo

it Due calette una di fianco all'altra. Perfette quando c'é maestrale. Portarsi assolutamente la maschera, fondale davvero popolato di pesci, stelle marine, polpi.

it La più bella spiaggia sotto Olbia! Super tranquilla e un po’ isolata.. acqua cristallina e sabbia granulosa! Tantissimi pesci e granchi che nuotano con te e se ti avventuri un po’ trovi anche questo massò a forma di teschio.. Info tecniche: 100 e lode al villaggio che mette a disposizione un parcheggio totalmente gratuito e il passaggio a piedi all’interno del “suo territorio” per accedere alla spiaggia!!! Tanto di cappello perché situazioni del genere in zona non ci sono nemmeno a cercarle..

it La punta più vicina all'isola di Tavolara. La spiaggia libera ovviamente non è perfetta ma il mare e gli scogli sono un paradiso.

it Caletta piccola e tranquilla (visitata a settembre). Sabbia tipo zucchero di canna. Per gli appassionati di snorkeling, possibilità di osservare un relitto poco al largo della spiaggia (300 m dalla riva). Vista della Tavolara proprio di fronte alla spiaggia.

it Si parcheggia di lato un residence privato , arrivate quasi di fronte la sbarra di ingresso e a dx c'è uno sterrato con tutti i posteggi gratuiti . Alla spiaggia si accede dalla strada interna del complesso , sulla strada interna pubblica con accesso al mare . Strada tutta lastricata e ben tenuta del complesso , percorribile anche con passeggini ecc. La spiaggia e' pulita , non ci sono servizi ecc. Zona tranquilla .
