The formation of the Cala dei Gabbiani Beach, it reminds us of a relatively large cove, the distance and isolation make it suitable for the adventurous.

With a length of 175 meters and an average width of approximately 13 meters, it has a surface area of 2275 square meters and can accommodate a maximum of 300 people comfortably.

The Sand

White sand

The Beach is composed of Pebbles sand of White sand color, with vegetation behind it, mainly characterized by Mediterranean scrub.

The sea has a Turquoise color, with a mixed seabed of sand and rocks.

The bathymetric lines approach as you move away from the shore, characteristic of a beach with deep water.

The Cala dei Gabbiani Beach is limited to a specific number of people with a maximum capacity of 300 people, as defined by the municipality of Baunei.

It should also be noted that on all Sardinian coasts, Article 40 of Regional Law No. 16 of July 28, 2017, paragraph 2, states: Except where the act constitutes a more serious offense, anyone who removes, possesses, sells even small quantities of sand, pebbles, stones, or shells from the coast or the sea without proper authorization or concession issued by the competent authorities is subject to an administrative fine of 500 to 3,000 euros.

By Sea

You can also reach the beach by sea using small boats, either private or rented, utilizing the dedicated launching corridor on the beach. Furthermore, it should be noted that the launching corridor is generally intended for transit purposes for unloading/loading. The boat should be anchored according to the instructions of the beach staff. In the absence of a launching corridor, the boat should be moored at a certain distance from the coast. it Bellissima cala di sabbia e ciottoli bianchissimi, raggiungibile soltanto a nuoto. Il mare è cristallino e limpidissimo e troverete tantissimi pesci che vi nuoteranno attorno. Ovviamente in alta stagione tutta la zona è presa d'assalto da barche e gommoni, quindi il consiglio è di arrivare il prima possibile per godersi di un po' di quiete.

it Naturale proseguo di Cala Mariolu, è uno degli infiniti gioielli della costa di Baunei e, più in generale del golfo di Orosei, nella costa centro-orientale della Sardegna “Ancora poco conosciuta, oscurata dalla fama della vicina Cala Mariolu, presenta le stesse caratteristiche: acqua cristallina sfumata di verde e di blu, scogliera levigata dal tempo e un lido di sassolini bianchi”. È la motivazione con la quale nel 2017 Cala dei Gabbiani è stata scelta dagli esperti di Skyscanner, celebre portale web di vacanze, come seconda spiaggia più bella d’Italia. La classifica valorizza calettte meno famose, ‘perle nascoste’, esattamente come quest’angolo di paradiso della parte meridionale del golfo di Orosei, all’interno del territorio di Baunei. La potrai raggiunge via mare, come le altre ‘perle’ della costa d’Ogliastra
