Characteristics and Type of Beach

The formation of the Cala di Mezzu Beach is characterized by the dense vegetation behind it, located in a relatively inaccessible area, it reminds us of an unspoiled small cove, the distance and isolation make it suitable for the adventurous.

With a length of 50 meters and an average width of approximately 12 meters, it has a surface area of 600 square meters and can accommodate a maximum of 75 people comfortably.

The Sand

Orange sand
Fine sand

The Beach is composed of Fine sand sand of Orange sand color, with vegetation behind it, mainly characterized by Mediterranean scrub.

The Sea

Water Green
Water Shallow
Seabed Rocky

The sea has a Green color, with a predominantly rocky seabed.

The bathymetric lines are far apart, so the depth gradually decreases, classifying it as a beach with shallow water.

The Cala di Mezzu Beach is open access, without a specific limit defined by law. The maximum capacity of 75 people is purely indicative and is determined using the guidelines of beach resorts, assuming approximately 8 square meters per person, taking into account beach chairs or towels, umbrellas, and a perimeter passage area.

It should also be noted that on all Sardinian coasts, Article 40 of Regional Law No. 16 of July 28, 2017, paragraph 2, states: Except where the act constitutes a more serious offense, anyone who removes, possesses, sells even small quantities of sand, pebbles, stones, or shells from the coast or the sea without proper authorization or concession issued by the competent authorities is subject to an administrative fine of 500 to 3,000 euros.

it Completamente immersi nella natura questa spiaggia naturista di grande fascino sa sempre stupire gli amanti della natura. Sabbia inquinata dalla plastica comunque viene mantenuta abbastanza pulita dagli abitanti locali ai quali si può donare un offerta lungo la strada. Ci si arriva attraverso dei sentieri impervi attraverso le rocce in circa 45 Min dal parcheggio.

it Si trova nella famosa Valle della luna ( chiamata anche Cala grande), vicino alla Cala de l'ea. Si raggiunge in circa un chilometro di sentiero ( di cui circa 400 metri molto ripidi ed impegnativi per le rocce scoscese) che parte dal lato sinistro della statale che va a Capi Testa, poco prima di Cala Spinosa. In un panorama primordiale, fatto di rocce dalle forme fantastiche, troverete questa piccola spiaggetta. Fate attenzione al percorso, a me è capitato di chiamare l'elicottero per soccorrere un turista che si era infortunato.....
